The French Election Results : Lessons for US Democracy. Talking with Professor Jonah Levy

The French legislative elections have resulted in stalemate, with no one party coming close to forming a majority government. President Macron rejected the resignation of his recently appointed Prime Minister Gabriel Attal even though his party grouping only won 160 seats in the 577 seat National Assembly. The party of the right placed third with 140 seats.

The Snap French elections have resulted in stalemate. But US voters should take heed as we approach our own elections in November in a polarized political environment.
